Coaching Responsibilities: Parent coaches are responsible for team management throughout the season, including: player registration, managing the team during games, assisting with Saturday practice (except for U-8), communicating with parents, coordinating with the professional trainer, arranging make-up games, and arranging participation in tournaments. All parent and player communication is to be handled by the parent coach who will contact the Club Manager or Board of Directors if he/she is unable to resolve any item of concern.
Coaches should throroughly familiarize themselves with the rules of the league in which they are playing. Complete rules may be found in the official handbooks which are published online via the websites of the respective leagues: Mid New Jersey League = www.mnjysa.org and Morris County League = www.mcysa.org . Both leagues have definitive rules regarding all aspects of team/player registration and league play, including game day procedures, reporting scores and rescheduling games.

Background Checks The club has instituted background checks for contract trainers, volunteer coaches and other volunteers who work with players. It is mandatory for coaches complete amd sign all forms requested concerning background checks.
Club Meetings It is a club requirement that each team be represented at all club meetings. It is preferable that the coach or assistant coach attend, however, the team manager or other parent representative may substitute for the coach. Club meetings are held once a month. A complete list of meeting dates can be accessed from the homepage.
League Meetings The leagues in which the club participates hold mandatory and optional coaches meetings at various times. Refer to www.mcysa.org and www.mnjysa.org for dates of those meetings.

F License coaching courses are sponsored by NJ Youth Soccer and hosted by various soccer clubs in the area. To coach travel soccer, you must have this license. The list of available courses can be viewed at mwww.njyouthsoccer.co
Medical Kits Every team should have a medical kit at each game. Medical kits and supplies are available in the storage bin at Glenside Fields.
Website Responsiblities: Coaches or Team Managers are asked to input the away games for their team into the online schedule, input game results and are able to post bulletins to their team on their teampage. To do so: Go to www.summitsoccer.org
- At top of the page click on "Admin."
- Input your team manager password (email
if you don't have your password)
- At the left of the page, click on "New Game"
- Input all of the info. and type "P" after the time, if it is an afternoon game
- Click "Submit"
Once you have input your away games you will be able to post results for those games. To post a team bulletin, click on "Teams," select the name of your team, then at the left of your team's webpage click on "Bulletins."
