To do’s for each team:
Review Team Packet Contents (Official Roster, Player Passes, Med Forms):
Please go through the packet before the first game to ensure all player cards/passes are printed and everyone is properly assigned on the team roster.
Notify Laura Madden if any errors (e.g., sometimes there aren’t player cards for all the players on roster and vice versa). Email à maddenl3@yahoo.com
Pick up equipment – two soccer balls (note there are size 4s & 5s so pls take the right size for your team) / ice packs. Med kits have yet to come in, will be placed in the Glenside shed when available.
Generally, the role of the PM is to enhance the experience for the players by being a supporting point of contact to keep the team organized. This should be done in collaboration and tandem with the Head Coach.
Pre-Season – Align with HC about scheduling league games, pre-season tournaments/scrimmages etc and communicating the schedule to the team – HCs are increasingly taking the lead in all respects.
What app/platform to use to communicate and organize teams? Many of us use TeamSnap but there are others – e.g., PlayMetrics, JerseyWatch etc
In season- Align with HC to send regular/weekly reminders to the team about upcoming games/practices
PM supports HC in any way possible, as needed- manage the players from time to time, seek out more soccer (tourneys, scrimmages, team-building activities)
Ensure game day rosters/passes/ref fees are presented for each game and walk the field prior to the game to ensure it is in safe playing condition (eg., make sure goals are secured to the ground, any ditches/drains are identified and approved by ref as playable, debris removed, etc.)
If the team has a home field game, PMs for first/last teams on the playing site will be responsible for flags setup/returning to shed. Davida Hogan will send out weekly assignments - davidahoganssc@gmail.com
Post-season – celebrate & recognize the team / plan EARLY for off-season soccer development opportunities!!!
The Club’s team of professional Head Coaches have primary responsibility for all soccer related decisions – e.g., strategy, playing roles/positions, playing time, player assessment, subs, etc - and are the primary voice of instruction
Team manager may wish to assign “pick up” chaperones –likely much more applicable to new/younger teams. Chaperones should ensure no player is left without a pickup after practice

Summit Home Field Space: Laura circulated the google worksheet with field schedule showing taken/available slots. When PM’s are scheduling/rescheduling games, they should aim to share turf / grass fields equally.
Game Day instructions: Each team is responsible for bringing the following to all games:
Official Roster – 1 copy, ref keeps it
Appropriate Game Card (printed from New GotSport system – from EDP or EDP Futures schedule) – 1 copy, ref keeps it
Player Passes – players hold it and refs call them out individually (ref should not hold player passes this season and instead the HC will hold them during the game)
Referee Fees - posted on game card - teams split fees.

PLEASE REMEMBER TO HAVE YOUR TEAM CLEAN UP ALL THEIR STUFF BEFORE THEY LEAVE THE FIELD
COVID Protocol - following NJ DOH and Summit School district guidelines
